Dear Friends:
In entering the doors of Unity Temple, you have entered into one of the most unique experiences in church organization.
Here, you are completely free to seek the deep things of God and your own answers to life's experience without having anyone ask you for money, for pledges, or for you to join something or serve somewhere.
Yes, Unity Temple has need of supply to fulfill Its financial obligations, and has need of your services to fulfill Its many responsibilities to the spiritual needs of the community It serves. But, Its goals are higher; Its spiritual requirements for the individual deeper than this. The Church's prosperity and the fulfillment of Its many positions of responsibility are the "things that are added" as this Church and its people, "Seek first the Kingdom of God," within themselves.
The goal of Unity is that each individual find the fullness of The Christ in himself or herself and in their world. For the Unity student this is a full-time job of studying the principles of Truth as taught by Jesus Christ and applying those principles of right activity to everything he or she does in their daily life. It requires a self-discipline of the highest order and its rewards in terms of spiritual maturity and the fruits of the Spirit know no limits.
Since you are not asked to join anything, what constitutes membership in Unity Temple? Membership in Unity Temple is a spiritual contract between you and God. It means that you desire a closer contact with Spirit by dedicating yourself, your time and your effort to know God better and to live His prosperous and joyous way of life.
We know you will cherish the freedom given to you in Unity and take advantage of its depth of understanding of God given in services and classes. Unity Temple and its warmth, friendliness and spiritual atmosphere are yours to enjoy. May you have many rich experiences as you freely seek the Truth with us in Unity Temple.
